Welcome to the studio of ICHTHYSdesigns, located on the far NW corner but outside of the city of Houston, TX, where I individually design and sew all of my products. This "hands on" participation is an integral part of what my ministry, in this business, means to me. Take a few minutes to look through this site and see liturgical artwork that has been created for clergy and churches across the United States, Mexico, Canada and abroad. ICHTHYSdesigns has been supplying vestments and church appointments since 1989. I regularly visit seminaries and church conventions across the United States to display my designs and am always happy to consider new venues.  If you would like to be added to my schedule, please contact me. With my focus on custom design, the photographs throughout this site represent a sampling of my own artistic interpretations.  Not a 'catalog' from which to order, these vestments and paraments have filled specific liturgical needs for clergy or churches with whom I have worked.

I hope that you enjoy your visit here and that you will contact me if I can be of any help to you or your church, in making a selection of new worship attire - for an individual or a congregation. I have worked successfully with many people over the phone, via e-mail, and through the mail, to bring them a product they can call their own.

Please visit the OTHER ITEMS page where you will find a variety of gift opportunities.

These photographs represent examples of my work. Each item is custom designed and sized; no two products ever exactly alike. This is part of my gift to you. I will duplicate concepts upon request.

The fish became a symbol for Christians when Greek-speaking believers in the early church used the Greek word for fish: ICHTHYS to create an acrostic, where each letter of that word represented the first letter of each word in the phrase translated:"Jesus Christ, God's Son, Savior". It is also believed that early Christians, while still persecuted, used the symbol of a fish made with two intersecting arcs to secretly identify each other. One person would make the first arc and another would complete the fish symbol, each revealing themselves as a follower of the Christ.
